Why do some cat eye contacts rotate?

Not all cat eye contacts are created equal. Cheap, poor quality cat eye contacts will rotate in your eye. There is nothing in the lens to keep them straight. This isn’t a problem with designs that don’t depend on staying a certain orientation. It doesn’t matter if your white out zombie contacts spin when they are in your eyes…. but if your cat eye contacts rotate around, you end up looking like a drunk cat with wandering and lazy eyes. Don’t be that lazy-eyed cat!

Prism Ballast Weighted Contact Lenses

All of our cat eye contact lenses have a prism weighted ballast. This is a very small weight that is built right into the lens. You can’t see it, and you won’t notice any different feelings when you are wearing the lenses. But what you WILL notice is that your cat eyes stay straight and cat-like. When you shop our cat eye contacts, you won’t look like a crazy-eyed cat from a Facebook meme or GIF. We have more than 7 styles of lenses that have this feature, and if you have ever worn cat eye contacts in the past, you will appreciate this innovation from our lab!

Why do I need a prescription to buy cat eye contacts?

Federal Law requires doctor approval before any seller can dispense contact lenses to you. Even if you don’t need corrective lenses, you need approval and a prescription from a doctor. All contact lenses are considered medical devices. Don’t risk your eyes with illegal and unsafe lenses. Even if your vision is 20/20, you need a contact lens fitting. Your Eye Care Professional will examine the overall health of your eyes and take some basic measurements.

Don’t play games with your eyes! You only get one pair. Your vision is too precious to take chances with shady sellers and illegal lenses.
