Rebels Clan – Round 1: Awakening

The Rebels Clan is where tradition is tossed aside in favor of chaos, defiance, and sheer will to survive. These vampires play by their own rules—if they even follow rules at all. Fighters, wanderers, and wildcards fill this bracket, making for some of the most unpredictable matchups of the tournament. Some of these duels will be brutal brawls, while others will pit intelligence against raw power. Let’s break it all down.

(1) Blade vs. (16) Amilyn (Buffy the Vampire Slayer 1992 Film)

The Daywalker vs. The Goofy Minion

Blade is a machine of destruction—half-human, half-vampire, and trained to wipe out bloodsuckers with ruthless efficiency. Amilyn, played by Paul Reubens in the Buffy movie, is… well, not exactly a powerhouse. He’s got some agility, some snark, and an iconic, drawn-out death scene, but none of that will help him here.

Blade doesn’t just win this fight—he ends it before Amilyn has time to deliver one of his signature quips. If we’re lucky, he at least gets off a dramatic “You ruined my jacket!” before turning to dust.

Even if we imagined Amilyn getting a miracle sneak attack, Blade’s healing factor and sheer resilience would shrug it off without a second thought. Blade is the last vampire you want to be stuck in a room with if you don’t have a foolproof escape plan.

Edge: Blade in a massacre.

(8) Cassidy (Preacher) vs. (9) Eric Northman (True Blood)

The Irish Wildcard vs. The Viking King

Now this is a fight. Cassidy is tough, mean, and nearly unkillable—but Eric Northman is an ancient Viking warlord who thrives in combat. Both are fast, strong, and capable of taking ridiculous amounts of damage, but Eric’s discipline and tactical mind give him the edge.

Cassidy’s best shot is to turn this into a pure brawl, where his reckless nature might catch Eric off guard. But if Eric plays it smart, keeps his distance, and strikes when it counts, Cassidy will be little more than a bloody stain on the ground.

That said, Cassidy’s sheer refusal to die means this wouldn’t be over quickly. Eric would have to put in the work, possibly taking a few painful hits along the way. But in the end, Cassidy’s lack of strategy and impulse-driven nature would cost him.

Edge: Eric wins in a fight that’s way closer than he’d like.

(4) Spike (Buffy) vs. (13) D (Vampire Hunter D)

The Punk Rock Brawler vs. The Legendary Dhampir

Spike is a brawler with centuries of experience, but D is something else entirely—a half-vampire hybrid with supernatural abilities beyond comprehension. This is one of those brutal mismatches where Spike’s bravado can’t save him.

D is faster, stronger, and has that talking symbiotic hand that gives him additional tricks. Spike may put up a fight, but unless he’s got some serious plot armor, this is over fast.

Even if Spike went full berserker mode, unleashing every dirty trick in the book, D is just too fast, too skilled, and too powerful. Spike may be immortal, but D exists in an entirely different league of vampire hunting.

Edge: D takes this with little effort.

(5) Selene (Underworld) vs. (12) Mitchell (Being Human)

The Death Dealer vs. The Reluctant Monster

Selene is pure death in motion—faster, stronger, and better trained than nearly any vampire in this bracket. Mitchell, though powerful, lacks the same combat discipline. He’s dangerous when he gives in to his darker urges, but Selene doesn’t hesitate.

Mitchell’s best bet would be to manipulate Selene emotionally—but that’s a long shot. In a straight fight, he’s outclassed.

If Mitchell were to fully unleash his bloodlust, he might make this fight interesting for a moment, but Selene is no stranger to dealing with vampires who lose control. She wouldn’t hesitate, and she certainly wouldn’t give Mitchell time to regain composure.

Edge: Selene in dominant fashion.

(2) Alucard (Hellsing) vs. (15) Deacon Frost (Blade)

The Living Nightmare vs. The Overconfident Upstart

Deacon Frost may have been a powerful villain in Blade, but Alucard is on another level. The Hellsing version of Dracula, Alucard is an immortal juggernaut with reality-bending powers.

Deacon might think he’s hot stuff after becoming the Blood God—but Alucard would just laugh. This isn’t a fight. It’s an execution.

Deacon’s arrogance would make this even worse for him. He’d go in thinking he was the superior vampire, and by the time he realized his mistake, Alucard would already be wiping him off his boots.

Edge: Alucard in horrifyingly one-sided fashion.

(7) Michael Corvin (Underworld) vs. (10) David (The Lost Boys)

The Hybrid Experiment vs. The 80s Alpha

Michael is a hybrid of vampire and lycan—an absolute powerhouse with enhanced healing, strength, and endurance. David is a classic 80s vampire—fast, strong, and charismatic, but ultimately still killable.

David is dangerous, but Michael is just built differently. In a raw physical fight, David gets torn apart. Unless he finds a way to manipulate Michael into a trap, he’s not making it out alive.

David would probably go in confident, trying to lure Michael into an ambush or toy with him first. That would be his undoing—Michael doesn’t play games when a fight starts.

Edge: Michael Corvin, no question.

(3) Angel (Buffy) vs. (14) Paul (The Lost Boys)

The Brooding Champion vs. The Wild Card

Angel has centuries of combat training, a strategic mind, and supernatural strength. Paul? He’s a Lost Boys vampire with a flair for mayhem but nowhere near Angel’s level.

Angel has fought far deadlier opponents and survived. This isn’t a fight—it’s a quick and brutal execution. Paul is cool, but he’s not making it past this round.

If this were about style points, Paul might take the win, but Angel is all business when it comes to putting down threats.

Edge: Angel in a stomp.

(6) Damon Salvatore (Vampire Diaries) vs. (11) Drusilla (Buffy)

The Charming Psychopath vs. The Unhinged Seer

This is one of the most interesting fights of the round. Damon is a powerful fighter with enhanced speed, strength, and cunning, but Drusilla is deeply unpredictable. Her psychic abilities, hypnotic influence, and eerie combat style could give Damon serious trouble.

If Damon underestimates her—treating her as just another opponent—he could find himself ensnared in her mind games. However, if he stays focused, his raw power and speed might be enough to take her down before she can pull any tricks. This could go either way, but Damon has more brute force at his disposal.

Damon’s ego is what makes this dangerous. He loves to toy with his opponents, and that’s exactly what Drusilla wants—a moment to crawl into his mind and twist it apart. If he realizes the danger in time, he wins. If not, he’s doomed.

Edge: Damon—barely. If he hesitates, Drusilla takes it.

Final Thoughts on Round 1 – The Rebels Clan

This round is full of brutal matchups and unfortunate mismatches. Blade, Alucard, and Selene should have no trouble advancing, while Eric vs. Cassidy and Damon vs. Drusilla could be the tightest battles of the bracket. If anyone is poised for an upset, it’s Drusilla—her unpredictable nature makes her the perfect spoiler.
