I wasn’t sure if I would like this candle at first. It’s hard to tell just from this name and the list of notes what the exact combination will smell like, but having burned it for several hours now I’m pretty happy with it. If I had to describe it, to my nose it conjures a combination of apple, spices, and damp fall leaves, a perfect scent for a candle with the name “October.”

As for the candle itself, it’s small, as you might expect from 9 oz. But it’s also a fairly slow burn. As long as you keep the wick trimmed, the wax is consumed far slower than what you typically see in your “brand name” candles. And the scent is incredibly powerful. It can easily fill a midsized apartment bedroom with a bathroom and walk-in closet attached, and the scent lingers quite literally for hours even after the candle is extinguished. I’ve been lighting it for an hour or two before bed and can wake up with the scent of October still in my nose as I go about my morning routine.

I’ll definitely be looking to get more of these powerful little candles in the future!
